  1. I know the matmen WoW award is basically a popularity contest with the winner being decided by who has the largest/most motivated vote generating network of friends/family/classmates. There have been multiple weeks that Rundell would have been deserving of this recognition but non so much as this week. His lone loss this season was up a weight against the #3 ranked kid at 113 on a late reversal to nf while still trying to get a turn in the last 15 seconds of a match he was controlling. It is that "always trying to score/dominate" mindset that has led to him pinning or techfalling all but a handful of his opponents this year with most of his matches up a weight. All falls/TF up a weight at the Clash. Despite always trying to score he hasn't surrendered a single td this season.

Not only the Cheesehead Champ but he won a bracket that included 4 of the top 106s from Illinois, came within 2 points of techfalling #2 in 2A Hamiti, and had a finals win over the #2 ranked kid in the country.

Jake Rundell Wrestler of the Week.
Anyone who can tech Josh Ramos has my vote. 145 in 3A this year is very strong. I saw Gannon Hughes at Dvorak and was very impressed. Nice combination of Hughes and Swanson for Oswego. Now with Bazaldua there too, very tough in those middle weights.
Went 5-0 this past week improving his record to 25-1 with (1) Major (3) Tech Falls and (1) Pin including a Major Decision 13-5 to HM Nico Patch and a 19-4 Tech Fall of #8 Josh Ramos.
