NOw I am not saying they have a chance to win this series, but this about pride and building stone for next year. They have accomplished alot this year and should hold their heads high. BUt this game Sunday has a lot of meaning to it. They need to go otu there and punch these guys in the mouth right off the bat. The Buls are young and are still unable to close teams out, and a veteran team like Detroit knows that. Thats why they never get frustrated and just keep battling.
I do not understand Skiles thinking of not playing the young guys more, they bring energy and can score many ways. Detroit is forcing the bulls to pass to Wallace and forcing him to take shots he cannot make. I think it might have been a good trade for one year to help with the young guys to see his approach towards defense, but Sunday IMO I would start Thomas and Sweetney. Draww Sweetney out to the top of they key and let him fire away he can make those shots. Bring Ben off the bench when we need a defensive stand for 5-6 minutes at a time. Let Thomas roam the perimeter and use his athletic ability to frustrate Rasheed and Webber. Bring PJ Brown in as a role player. This is just my opinion and we know it won't happen but let these veterans sit and see the game from the outside in, so they can make the proper adjustments whe they need to stop a Detroit run. Lets GO BUlls 1 at a time. 1 basket, 1 shot, 1 free throw, 1 rebound, 1 block, 1 steal, 1 win.

ok last I knew they were 0-2 and I've been busy and not keeping up can anyone fill me in?
series is now 3-2. Wallace has been a consistant force and PJ Brown has been a nice scoring option. Sweetney hasnt played and SHOULDNT! Tyrus Thomas brings a lot of energy, but very very excited-gets him in trouble. BG has picked his game up and took over game 5. Loul has been solid mostly through out the series, killer 17 footer jump shot. Capt Kirk, does what he does best, working the high pick -N- roll. Detroit has not countered the high screen. Duhon also hit some big shots in game 5, which was needed. Can someone locate Nocioni? Overall we should be winning the series 3-2 after blowing game 3. But i think we can win game 6, game 7 will be a DOG fight. MAKE HISTORY BULLS!!!

Yeah, I don't want to give him too many props for fear it may go to his head but he is pretty good at talking sports. It really doesn't matter which one, he usually knows about it.
Thanks everybody. I would like to think that i am a sports aficionado!

Well as you said it was just your opinion. I am glad Scott did not sit Wallace. That would be humiliating to sit a two time Defensive Player of the Year in the town he was traded from against his ex teamamtes. Wallace is a superstar and a pressence and you just don't do that without a reason.

Well if consistant is not leading your team in rebounds when that is your only job than I can deal with that, LOL. Ben Wallace is not stepping up his game. Tyrus thomas helped Ben Gordon take over game 5. Now I will say this if Wallace does not step up his game than the Bulls will lose this game 6. I am not saying score points but he must dominate the boards. My statement about Sweetney was an idea, the thinking was maybe motivate Wallace some how.

Motivate Wallace? What is he coming on here reading your comments? Sweetney has as much value to the Bulls as you do! Wallace may not be getting tons of boards, but he is effecting shots in the paint. Wallace is a big presence and knows the Pistons inside and out.

The Bulls still need a veteran low post scorer/rebounder. The fact that the Bulls don't get many second shots on offense tells that story. Esenially the Bulls are a perimiter team. When they hit from outside they win. When they don't they lose. So when they are cold from outside who is going to rebound and score on those missed shots? No one because we don't have such a person.
And the Bulls are only so so in half court offense. Another low post scorer would help in that area too.
Yes the Bulls led the league in rebounding but you can never have too many rebounders. The bottom line is the Bulls are probably 2 years away from a title. Maybe 1 if Kevin Garnett returns to Chicago.
Still I like the direction the Bulls are headed. Let's see what the draft / off season brings. Everyone will feel better if the Pistons win the title.

Give Tyrus some time, he will be the next Garnett"esk" player. Even if the Bulls are a perimeter team, any pro should shoot better than 34% as a team. Thats terrible, especially at home and in a do or die game!

I love Tyrus. What is he tho...a sophomore in college...he is fun to watch...P. J. Brown showed in the first half what a scoring low post player can do to a good team when he dropped twenty on Detroit...and then in the second half he showed what not having one meant too when he scored ZERO...and yes 38% shooting was real bad...shades of game 3 I guess...which is why I hate teams built on jump shooters...let's bang...give me a Russell, Jabbar, hell at this point I will take a Magic and put his butt in the low post and let him play point-center..."and with the number three pick in the draft the Chicago Bull select from THE Ohio State, Greg Oden"....opps...sorry my bad...I was having a fantasy...

Definately will be the first pick with out a doubt, but there are gojng to be some good big guys coming out. Paxson has a big choice to make. YOu Durant- I think he still needs to hit the weights and has room to grow, we all know how physical the NBA is his size and strength might be questionable when you are looking for a "right now" guy to step up and do the job plus 82 game compared to 30 to 35. I would not be suprised if Paxson really looks at Big Baby from LSU, this kid is good had a terrible supporting cast last year after most of the team left after their Final Four appearence. Plus him and Tyrus are fimiliar with one another and would would adjust great together. Another possibility would be the kid from Georgetown he has good size and is big and strong. I think it all depends on where the Bulls fall in the draft. Knowing how Paxson works I would not be suprised if he went after the big name and then traded down for someone and a good role player, or made a package deal with Noc or Gordon. Its going to be interesting but Pax will find the guy that is the best fit for Skiles' system.

Hey i agree with you! But i would never trade Gordon. Maybe Noc, Duhon, and OUr first round pick for Garnett or Artest (Risk i know, but he tough)?

Wow hell must of froze over, you aggreed with me for once, woo-hoo. But seriously I would trade Gordon if the trade was right. Anything to get a proven big man scorer. Yes Noc and Duhon also, I think at the end of the year we saw what Thabo could do defensively and will only be better in the years to come. If they improve his jump shots thatn hes a serious weapon that needs to be on the court. I like BG but he has to many off nights. It seems like when we need him and the pressure is on he no where to be found and his defense is horrible. Garnett is on the outs of his career young but I do not see the fire he once had. Maybe a change of scenery would do him good but I do not see Pax paying that much for another PF/C that is unless they get rid of Wallace. I like Artest but that is a serious risk and I do nnot think Pax would invite him back especially after all the whining he did trying to get out of here.
I see Pax making a real hard push now that the season is over and the chemistry would not be affected for Gasol. I think it all depends on who they want in return, and that probably would be Deng. I would not give up Deng for anybody.
Getting rid of Duhon might be far fetched to. Skiles really likes to use him after time outs on set plays, it seems like he does a better job at setting up plays than Hinrich.

Do NOT bring Ron Artest here under any circumstances. He would be a distraction. And not worth the money. He's no Dennis Rodman. We are looking for a final piece to the puzzle-not someone that would knock the puzzle over.
Now Kevin Garnett, hell yeah but I don't see the Bulls doing it. Why? Probably would have to give up too much money, unless Minny wants that early first round pick.

The number 9 pick????????? This is going to be interesting. Papers are saying Joakim Noah, I personally do not like that pick. What does everyone else think or would like to see happen? Obviously the 2 most touted big men are going to be gone. What are the chances of trading up in the draft or even better yet trading down and just going after Big Baby being hhe has seemed to fall off the radar. I really like the kid from Georgetown(Hibbert???). When I seen him play he was great defensively and with a little work could be a force down low with his size.
