99% of the people on this board are from the Chicago area. A poll will be a tad bit biased.

You forgot, Morrison is a Jr.

I think a case could be made for Izzy Montemayor. His credentials are similar to Ayala and Jauch: State qualifier...A match away from AA at Fargo (although Izzy was also a match away in Greco). You can mention NHSCA, which Ayala did well in, but since Montemayor couldn't go it doensn't seem to be a valid comparison.
I wouldn't normally nit-pick this sort of thing, but since you're putting together an article for Intermat, I thinik the stakes are a bit higher.

maybe capezio should be on that list..
1--Futrell
2--Bybee
3--Kratovil
4--Nowry
5--Coleman
6--Williams
7--Monaco
8--Jauch
9--Ayala
I left Morrison off the list because he is a Junior.

My mistake. Any votes for Morrison will not count so don't vote for him. I keep thinking he is a senior. Sigh...I will look at all write ins like Montemayer, Capezio, etc. I am just trying to get a ball park idea. In the end it will get narrowed down to the best of the best. I may even redo the poll as it gets closer to the season. I have not decided on that part yet. Stay tuned for the middle weights. Anyone want to give me 14 middle weights...and please stay from 135 to 160...so don't list Goebel, Walker, etc.

Capezio over Montemayor 3-2...1-1 in regulation...1-1 after 1st OT...2-2 after 2nd OT...Capezio wins flip and chooses down, and Montemayor cuts but is not able to score a takedown for the win.

And I'm going to add Dale Jarosz (Palatine) to the list. He beat Jauch 6-1 at state this year. I would put him at number 8 on my list.

Keep 'em coming wrestling fans. Remember the entire team only has 10 people on it so realistically probably only 3 maybe 4 of these lightweigts will make the final selection.
If it was to happen today it would be Bybee, Kratovil and BJ with Nowry and Williams battling it for number 4. I must leave room for the middle weights and the heavies. Then I have to whittle it down to 10. Some years are easier than others. I will take into account state and national success plus academics. Each kid must be a legit college prospect and a solid person to boot.

Twister,
to help the users, is college projection part of the question. Translation: does the ability to be a long-run 125 mean premium value compared to being a 133-149? does the inability to ever get to 125 size mean a negative value?

How could Nowry not make the list after winning Junior Nationals in Greco and Freestyle this year. He has the best pedigree of anyone on the list.

No I am just looking for the ten best wrestlers in the state as seniors. Not being able to get to college 125 means nothing because you could still be one of the 10 best wrestlers as a senior.

I apologize, I should have been more specific. What I meant about Nowry is that somehow he should make the final list.(final 10) I don't believe that you will be able to find 10 other seniors with a better wrestling resume than Nowry will have.
I would assume that we would recognize a junior national championship a loftier accomplishment than winning state, and I believe he has 3 national championships(2greco, 1 freestyle) individually, and another two Junior team championships at least. Third in state this past season, and most likely the favorite at 103 this season, to name a few. Based on these results, I can't imagine him not making the final ten on your list.
Granted size for college will be an issue with him, however, you stated that it would not be a factor in your determination of the top 10.
I misused the word pedigree kind of, meaning resume.

I think size is a recruiting issue if your to small. Max has to sit on two pillows to drive(inside joke).

Well to be honest anyone that is even being considered has a resume'. It will depend on the other weights - middle and light. It will come down to the must be on the list like a Polz or a Goebel and from there it will move on to other considerations. By no means will there be an absolute process. I in the end will select (with input from a few trusted others) 10 and that will be that. Like I said earlier I would be leaning towards Nowry as 4th in the lightweights. Fargo and freestyle/greco (individual not team success) will be a consideration of mine and of course he has that especially as a double champ but more emphasis will be on folkstyle. Why? Because everyone does not freestyle / greco but everyone under consideration does folkstyle. Suffice it to say in my mind right now Nowry is on the fringe area but could move in to the top 10 if certain things fall his way.
