I dont get this team at all.
1) How do you two weeks in a row, only give up 3 points in the first half. Then 30+ in the second. IN consecutive WEEKS! That D coordinator has a lot of talent (maybe not today) but he is doing a poor poor job, preparing these guys at half time.
2) Bernard Berrian is the softest guy in the league. Sure Griese had a late pass to him in the endzone, but he let the defender bully him for the ball. Help your QB out!
3) This might be top 5 worst Offensive Lines in the league. There old, sloppy, lazy, and dumb. They seem lost and confused.
4) Cedrice Benson is a BUST. He has ZERO inspiration to play football. He looks just like Ricky Williams (But Way less effective), and just wants to smoke grass.
5) Can we get Hester/Olsen involved on Offense? Ron Turner will not be around next season, he got fired from U of I for a reason. Lovie should just call the plays from here on out. Isnt this offense boring?
Positives- D-Line played awesome today, Linebackers did a nice job too.
The Db's played one half of great football, then fell off the table. We still need to get more Ints, and fumbles.
Griese will play better next week, that is a promise.
It is still early in the season to turn this around, if they get it together. We started 1-3 in '05 and finished 11-5.

Thank you, this is what I have been saying all along, it isnt just Grossman, it is even a great vertrean like Griese, it is the whole team.

about the Lions. They have the juice to light it up, but we let our foot off the gas, too. Could it be the Bears underestimated Detroit?
P.S. Where's Curtis Enis when you need him? Oh god, I just gave myself a irony attack! Help!

You still want to bet the Packers don't make the playoffs? Favre is the man, and the running game is coming around. Look out, because they will win the division with ease.

Still not going to make it. Favre will make mistakes, it is coming.

Look at his stats the last three years.
Seasoned Vet= OLD MAN!
Yes, he is great. I like Favre, but if you think he will remain this consistent, YOU'RE CRAZY!

hes going to be done here soon anyways, hes going to give all he has just one more year or so. But you have to admit for an old guy he throws pretty hard.

Sure he has a great arm. But he is still the gunslinger, and will make a lot of rookie mistakes at time. He thinks he can fit every ball into every window.
He better savor the moments of his records, because Peyton is going to break everyone of them, by A LOT!

The difference between Favre of the last couple seasons and now is he now knows it is okay to punt because the "D" is playing well enough to keep them in every game. He has been good at throwing some balls away or taking a sack. I still think the Bears will get them this weekend by looking at the odds. They won't give up 30+ 3 weeks straight and also won't turn it over more that 3 times 3 weeks in a row.
You are assuming Manning doesn't get hurt in the next 5 or 6 seasons. I will be suprised if he doesn't get racked up at some point down the line. Also, it probably doesn't hurt playing at least half of your games in a dome either. Anyone with common sense knows that those numbers are inflated due to playing so many contests inside without having to deal with the elements and having a superstar wide receiver (something Favre never had). No way his numbers are that good playing outside as much as Favre, especially in the cold and windy weather. Any reply stating otherwise would be attributed to ignorance.

ignorant. Thats nice. Hey Hitler people are entitled to form their own opinions. I do agree with you though, and also Favre has never had the support of one of the greatest receivers of all time and a great hall of fame running back. I hate the packers but he has done this alone for a good portion of his career.

LOL! I was waiting for that. Another topic that I found interesting earlier in this thread had to do with Superbowl Titles. If that is indeed the barometer of a great Quarterback then many would say Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw would be the greatest of all-time with 4 Titles. However, many of the Packer faithful would like to point out that Bart Starr is the only quarterback in the history of the NFL that has lead his team to 5 NFL titles. Many would argue that only 2 of these five were superbowls and discredit the other titles. However, if we discredit the world championships (that are officially recognized as World Championships by the media and NFL) then we should throw out anything and everything that has happened in the NFL pre-1966 in all football when it comes to record keeping. I guess that Bart Starr is the greatest of all-time using that mentality.

Getting back to the ignorance remark, I guess I just can't see how anyone could argue the logic of the statement made. I am all for people having opinions, but would hope that these are opinions are based on some sort of factual information and not based on a bias. Personally, I don't think any one QB can be regarded as the best ever because all these guys played with different players, against different players, in different time periods, on different playing fields and under many different conditions. For example, Troy Aikman's 3 superbowls came with a different supporting cast against different players than lets say a Tom Brady. So if asked who was a better QB between the two it would be difficult to logically come up with a definitive answer.

you dont just count stats..Who's the best wrestler in the history of Illinois? Aguy who won a title but had the most take downs, or a guy who had four titles and only one or two losses in his career?

Your ingorance is what is glaring. Favre is a great Qb, he played on teams with good recievers. To say he never had a go to guy is a joke. Donald Driver is a great wide reciever and they had Javon Walker, this is with in the last 5 years. You stick Driver in Indy and he would have 1300 yards and 13 tds, without being killed trying to make plays like he does in Green Bay.
Tom Brady is the best Qb in the NFL right now, period. Titles and his crazy ice water in the veins.
Peyton Manning, may be the smartest and best passing Qb to every play the game. If i was you, i would get the NFL sunday ticket and match the Colts. The throws he makes are PIN POINT! Why say he might get hurt? He is going after Favres record too in consecutive games played, Manning is well over 100 straight. Plus Indy has the best offensive line scheme in the NFL. He doesnt get touch, and if he does get pressure he steps up, shuffles his feet, he just knows where to go in the pocket.

LOL! This remark coming from a simpleton who can't spell or is making up words that certainly aren't part of the English language. Nice grammar Ace! I am guessing you forgot to address the actual statment of debate because your effort in doing so was quite feeble. Perhaps if you thought for a moment you would realize that no comment was made in regards to Manning's accuracy. His "pin point" accuracy is just that and nobody could make a truly objective debate against it. However, would his "pin point" accuracy have racked up the same type of numbers had he been playing the majority of his games outside in the elements? Doubtful. With all do respect, it is your ignorance that is glaring. Or is it glarring? LOL!

By the way Ace, Favre had Walker as a rookie and second year receiver that would have a breakout year in his third season only to later get hurt and then demand a trade. If you are putting Driver and Walker in the same group as receivers like Owens, Joshnson, Rice, Carter, Moss and other phenom receivers you only further hurt the credibility of your statements. I am finished talking to you Ace. Frankly, your responses don't warrant a response until you clean them up and actually address the statements that were intended for debate. Good day Ace.

Holy cow, call the police chief, i mispelled a word.
So this element theory is all you can come up with huh?
Why cant people beat Indy at home? Yeah passing the ball maybe easier in a dome, agreed. But people are WAY faster in a dome, including the defense. The speed of the game is quicker, it all evens out.
Peyton Manning will have all the records, and you will look like fool. Go put a block of cheese on your head, and act like you're important enough to even talk to.
Looks like grammar is a problem for both of us. But are we talking about english class or football. Or is your dress a little to tight, sally.

Driver had three 1200 yard seasons in a row. Yep he sucks all right. He isnt amoung the greatest reciever to ever play. But he is a top reciever RIGHT NOW, in the NFL. This cant be debated.

Pretty good 5 year run if you ask me.
Walker was on Green Bay for 4 seasons, which in the 3rd year he had a MONSTER year. 1400 yards and 8 tds. Then he got hurt and demanded a new contract or to be traded.
Nice try.

Titles and loses, isn't that more stats. With Farve yes he is good. Probably one of the best ever, but without a running, game, how much can a guy that old, or anyone have the energy for that?
