Ouch that hurts! I'll bet the central section is going to miss LP and Ottawa alot this year. Oh well, to be the best you have to beat the best.

That is a major change for the regional in Minooka. The talent level at that regional just picked up tremendously. Looks like Brian Bokoski and AJ Juarez could meet three more times depending on the draw at state.

Not only that, but now Minooka has a much, much tougher road to win another Regional title, and obviously a Sectional title as well.
Wow...total shake up in that region. The rest dont make much sense...Washington and Metamora have to go to Bloomington instead of driving down the road to EP. Crazy

Like I always said... some kids start their state tournaments in their regional and some kids have to wait until Champaign. Bottom line is, you have to beat them all baby!!!!!

DP - Who do you suggest doesn't go to East Peoria if those two (Washington & Metamora) don't go to Bloomington? I thought it was more wierd last year when Canton went all the way to the BLoomington/Normal Regional.

Thats a good point. Pekin would be the first choice, because as far as I know, they have always gone the Bloomington way.
After that, you are right, it would get fuzzy. Maybe this was the only thing the IHSA could think of or come up with. Maybe send Pekin and Metamora to Bloomington and keep Washington at EP. I dont think it matters much either way as far as the Regional's competition goes, though.

I thought maybe Pontiac would move to Bloomington And Streator would go to LaSalle Peru for regionals.

The Minooka Regional obviously got shook the most... what weights will the new teams effect the most. 103 & 112 are the two that have been mentioned the most... what about the rest?

130 - Augle
135 - Wojik (4th at Sectionals)
160 - Reynolds (state placer)
171 - Togher (state qualifier)

Joliet has a solid 125 in Mark Johnson(State Qualifier) and a solid 119 in Ryan Windell
Plainfield South has a solid 125 in Adrew Haney(4th at sectionals) (beat Rangel-Minooka 6-4) and a solid sophomore HWT in Kyle Voda (2006 IKWF state Champ @215)
