Toughest weight classes in the central sectional?
i believe that 160 is the toughest class

Well 112 might be the toughest, with 3 of the top 7 kids in the state being in the same regional and sectional. That is one of the tougher fields our Sectional has seen in a long time. I remember back in 1999 when Webster, Cox and Catour all placed in the top 6 at state and were from our Sectional. Also, in 2001, McMillan beat Robertson for the title, and Bly was 6th that year at the same weight.
112 this year at our Sectional might be the same type of thing.

All of These are Top End Loaded with quality guys:
160 - Reynolds, Green, Waropay. Is McFadden Here?
171 - Brewer, Togher, Ward. Or is McFadden Here?
112 - Juarez, Bokoski, Ambrose... is Cole coming down?
... but I think 119 will be the most interesting(deepest).
119 - Ingersall, Muhamed, McCall, Holloway, Ruettiger, Klaver, Cole??

Can Waropay drop to 160? He has been in the box scores at 189 and 171?
stepped in what?

No doubt 171. There is Ward, McFadden, Warropay, Someone said Brewer is here. Plus there are some other pretty talented guys who do not get much credit around here. Personally even though I never was at this weight i'm glad never had to wrestle some of the CI guys here because im graduated.

Add in Togher from Providence to the 171 mix too.

Seems weird with Providence in the central section. I guess everybody keeps forgetting, especially since they are in the Chicago Catholic League?

As soon as St. Rita sneaks into the Granite City sectional then you'll know the Catholic infiltration is complete.

Maybe not the stand out weight class in the sectional but 103 will be very fun to watch unfold for the central section.

I agree, 103 could have a lot of kids who have the potential to make a state tournament.

re 119: Junior-Ryan Winchell(Joliet) can wrestle with any of these guys too. He won the Sterling tournament last weekend with 3 pins. You know he's bangin' with Jaurez(112) and Johnson(125) day in and day out at pratice.
119 may or may not have an All-Stater in it but, it sure is full of quality wrestlers. Should be a lot of fun to watch at sectionals...

And didn't Wojcik drop to 130, Walsh too 135???
BTW; I got to see Bradley the other night ago too. They have some solid kids. I thought they looked pretty good. Green at 160 will be a bear. The Minooka regional just keep getting tougher, and tougher...
When it's all said and done, it will be interesting to see how many SQs come from that regional.

And Reynolds to 160..... Maximus - do your Little Green sources still tell you that Tougher is going 71?

My projected 125 at the Minooka regional;
Augle(PROVI)
Rangel(MIN)
Johnson(JOT)
Haney(Plainfiled South)
Are you kidding me????? One doesn't make it out...

What does everyone think about 145 / 52... doesn't appear to be much depth at these wts.

145 Morris of EP will tough when he is back in the lineup.
EP may have a stud at 152 we are waiting to see if he can make weight.

In my neck if the woods, I don't think we've seen where the 45s and 52s will be just yet.
Steed(PROVI)
War-Ski(MIN)
Bannon(MIN)
Whitten(Plainfield South)
Then add in the fact Reynolds and Green will be at 160, that will chace a few down to 152 in the Minooka regional.
Still to early to make a call on 45 and 52. At any rate, they could be the type of weight classes where the talent may not be the best in the state but, there will be some very quality kids come sectional time.
ie; Troemel(NOR), Phillups(PROVI), Crnich(PROVI), Lehr(BLM), Oliger(M-S)
The addition of Joliet area schools has raised the competition level in the sectional by a lot... gotta love it:D
