if there is only double elimanation to third place how do they figure out 5th and 6th??
I will find out for sure, but I think it means say you lose your first match - you can wrestle back to third place if you continue to win in the wrestle backs. Then if you do not win your bout to go for say third/fourth you wrestle for fifth/sixth.

no not at all in the years past it has been if you lose early you can wrestle all the way back for 3rd, but if you lose in the semis of the wrestle backs then you are going for 5th/6th and anytime before the semis of the wrestle backs you are done

period length? college division
I'll have to double check, but I think it was 1 - 2 - 2 for College Matches.
Middle School matches were 1-1-1
High School matches were 1-1.5-1.5
The early registration for this tournament ends June 20.
Save $5.00 by registering before the deadline.
Be sure to book your hotel rooms for this event as well...
Each year the tournament has grown, last year had 14 states represented...look for some great competition at this summer tournament.

Will there be any updates here or anywhere?
Generally they post the places a few days after the tournament. I can't say for sure this year...but I believe they use a computer program that runs a computer and does not post instant results online. Usually within a few days they have the results posted like what they have done the past few years.

does anyone know exactly where we go to for the weigh-ins and where the gym is at.

Last year, the weigh-ins were @ the Shirk Center. I'm assuming that will be the same. To get to the Shirk Center, I will take Main Street, turn East onto Emerson St. and it isn't very far.
The brackets were usually 8 man with wrestlebacks to 5th place. They can always adjust based on # of competitors.
Good tournament with good competition.
The registration form says to go to the Shirk Center on Illinois Wesylan Campus for weigh-ins and wrestling. It is not the tournament headquarters address that is on the form. I think that might be creating a little confusion.

Normally they will post all the placewinners on the website within a few days of the end of the tournament (maybe a week or so).

was @ midwest nationals 07' and yesterday and will have to say just in one year the competition got a ton better! there were 813 wrestlers this year, 130 mare than last year. the tournament is getting bigger and better every year so I highly recommend it if you haven't gone before. Plus Mark Johnson (U of I head coach) and two of his wrestlers were there during weigh-ins putting on a clinic.

I Can See The Results Of The Nationals But Would Like To See Everyone Listed In The Brackets! Are They Posted Anywhere?
That would be nice if we could, I know that most of the high school brackets I looked at had 12-15 kids, other than the very light and very heavy.

I was there helping coach some kids. Tough competition. Some kids lost 2 and were eliminated. One kid lost to an AA state qualifier and then won 4 straight consolation matches to reach the 3rd place match. Of those 4 matches, he beat 3 state qualifiers. He was exhausted in the 3rd place match and didn't fare well. Six matches is a lot of wrestling for an out of shape kid. Sorry, I don't have access to any brackets.
