If you're question is "why don't these suggestions get posted on the IKWF message board", a possible explaination is that in order to post on the IKWF message board, you must register first; giving your name & phone number. The minute that rule was instituted last year, the IKWF message board became idle & this message board, in effect, became the only one being used to any great extent.
In it's defense, this rule was instituted after slanderous comments, & even threats against people were posted, but i presonally feel that the heavy handed response to this problem was the rough equivalent to treating dandruff by decapitation (sorry Zappa). Again, my personal feelings, which many may disagree with.
If your question is "why aren't some of these suggestions posted on the IKWF website (regional/sectional locations & times, brackets, etc.), the answer is beyond me.

Thanks for the insight guys. I guess like most of you, I just can't understand why so much time is spent on these boards when it could be spent posting results and information people need. If the IKWF right hand can't get the left hand to clap with it. Why can't we become more active to get our voices heard? I would hope that the IKWF if flooded with e-mails that not only point out their glaring blunders, but also with volunteers to correct them.

As Spartandog would say if we dont go thru our elected sectional director we will not be heard or that is what he would say if he gave someone a straight answer. LOL .... S-Dog you my favor your a great politician for the IKWF.
Anyone know how long that gag order is in effect?
Joking joking dont stone me to death.
I am out ......
All the answers are straight and to the point... But you tend to only consider the answers that serve your own agenda... you are the Spin-Master ...

The IKWF receives suggestions quite often from their head coaches, and Sectional Directors, a few interesting ones recently... pretty hard to improve on a good thing, though...

If that is in fact the case.......Then why not improve upon the bracket situation. Look at the postings on the brackets alot of post most of any but still no real response. They should really look into schematics and follow the IHSA's system. You are correct this is the leader in kids wrestling but the best still strive to be better.

Let me explain my position on the posting of brackets. Some directors/host get to see brackets for sectionals but! They are not given to teams until that night of weigh ins. Now here we go.....If I saw brackets like some do, they see who they wrestle and who they feed into. Now I have several days to prepare for my opponents. That! is an unfair advantage. The only tournament this applies to is sectionals.

Just wondering who would i ask to find out all the senior results for all the sectionals

Here is a good example. The sectional brackets given out the night before the tournament. Some folks Ex. Director/Host club have the brackets days before but dont pass them on till the day before and after weigh ins??????? This web site the #1 post is on posting of brackets just look and see. The IHSA system works....they dont hide a thing they just post the dates and times of the schematics posting and game on no complaints.

There is always room for improvement.
No walk overs was a good one, but it voted out after a year. Double elimination is another good one, through out the walk behind advancement, come on they are giving medals to 8th place and walk-overs and walk behind advancement are in affect? That's kind of a joke, and no one should be laughing.
All clubs are allowed to wrestling in the Winter Nationals & CK Classic both events are hosted before the start of our season. So why can't the chartered clubs host an event before December? Why cant clubs have team-team scrimages/duals if they wish without the worry of someone reporting them to the IKWF office?
Why is there such a communication problem between the IKWF and it's members?
Why is the website not put to better use? The state books are great but none of this info and history is on the website.
That's all for now ....

I was poking around the net looking for wrestling sites and came across the IKWF west sectional website (http://www.ikwfwest.org/). I am very impressed, they posted their brackets for the sectionals. Hopefully they post the state brackets.

Spartandog,
You said check with your head coach for sectional brackets. That would be nice if the head coach had them. Some got the brackets before the sectional, but others did not get them until wrestling was ready to start at the sectional.
Ok. No big deal. The kids have to wrestle whoever is in front of them. Most clubs are not any more organized or prepared than that any way. BUT, there are other clubs, and we could all name them, who are organized, prepared and as sophisticated as any high school team. They know who their opponents are. They know their opponents' strengths and weaknesses. They prepare their kids not simply to wrestle, but for who they are going to wrestle. If some clubs have brackets and others do not, there is a distinct advantage to those clubs that have them and are able to prepare their wrestlers specifically for the competition in front of them.

Don't fool yourself Nic9er. This has been talked about ad nauseum since the IKWF/IWF controversy ended, and we had to find new things to talk about. There is nothing new here and no light going on.

Im not tryn ta hide. My handles been posted on all my tournament info. Im a firm believer that this system is bs and it is an unfair advantage not to post brackets. Some get em some dont its bs and it irks me bad. I dont know whos fault it is im just saying why not check with the IHSA and find out how they do it. I think Mike does way to much work mak'n up these brackets when he could just post schematics. I know hes swamped right now and he doesn't have to be.

The IKWF office has infomed me that they are having a problem getting the brackets to come up on the website... local computer experts are being rushed to the office as we speak to correct the glitch...
Every head coach should have received his password at their Sectional scratch meeting...

I think that it is a good idea to let the head coach at each team decide if he is going to let or when the kids see the brackets. Question for everyone, How much strategy goes into knowing who is where in the bracket. Do you change styles for each opponent at the state tournament? Just wondering, I know that the kids are looking on the board trying to see the brackets but as i stated earlier i think that should be left up to the head coach. I don't think that if a parents goes to the coach and ask to see the brackets that the coach would tell them no. and if so then maybe they are at the wrong club

If you know who you wrestle you can have a distinct advantage preparing for his offense or preparing you defense. You know if he's good on top so you train extra on the bottom and so on and so on. alot of people video and save video. If you have a video of your kid getting beat or winning against a kid you are going to wrestle. You can make yourself better prepared. ITs a fact.
