I know Mike Bare is going to kill me (and probably take this story down...lol...because he is shy) but I just had to post this on the home page. Mike is the guy who puts a lot if not all of his personal money (and family time) into running this website. Yesterday in his other job as the Head Men's Soccer Coach of Peoria Notre Dame he won his own state title. Congrats Mike. Below is the story from the Peoria Journal Star...

NAPERVILLE — The Notre Dame boys soccer team won the Class 2A state championship Saturday by beating Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin 3-0 in the title match.
Dominic Bonello had the only goal Notre Dame needed -- 21 minutes, 43 seconds into the match at North Central College. Brogan O'Brien and Vince Cicciarelli also scored for the Irish.
ND finished with a 21-3-1 record. The Irish's tie came against SH-G, 1-1 in the opening match of the season.
The Irish also won the 2004 Class A state title, under the two-class format. This is the first year of a three-class soccer tournament.
