Very exciting dual between two tough teams. Some good matches to note were 189 and 119. 189 was won in overtime and 119 was a matchup between Logan Arlis and Tyler Larson. Larson weighed in at twelve and bumped to 119 and gave Arlis a very competitive and exciting match. Larson looked to be small and could very well be a 103lber. Also, Watson from Batavia looked tough as nails at 171 and should be a real contender.

Atmosphere was great and meet was very competitive. DeKalb looked strong at JV and Freshman level as well, so they should be tough in coming years. Credit Larson for wrestling up ... it's great to see kids who are more concerned about getting better by wrestling the best competition they can find (even if they have to bump up a weight) than trying to pad their record with cupcake matches.
