Taking what too far, a young freshman, an underdog, going against Illinois best highschool wrestler. This is a David and Goliath story. A senior who is going to Iowa should not lose but when you have faith and believe in yourself it just goes to show ANYONE CAN WIN!

Correct me If I'm wrong, but is Graham even a Catholic school?

Are you serious? When you believe and have faith it just goes to show anyone can win. It seems to me you are assuming Ramos is not a Christian. Do you honestly think the only people that are Catholic attend or have attended Catholic schools? Or are you that bored with your life that you feel the need to make ignorant presumptions. You should start a scholarship program allowing more kids the opportunity to go to a Catholic school if they would like. You really need to take a step back and see that you are not being the best Christian you can be.

I watched that match and ramos definently got caught. take away that five ponts and its a different match. Ramos should've had two more take downs in that match also. That felipe martinez is good though.

from watching the match from the link posted, i think ramos had some problems wrestling on the mat. he has become so use to just taking down wrestlers at will he has semi abandoned wrestling on the mat. martine is a one hell of a rider and was able to hold ramos down for minutes therefore neutralizing ramos' neutral abilities. also that 5 point move helped a lot.

My observation, for what it is worth, is on the same lines. Tony has been able to dominate in high school with a takedown, let 'em up approach. That works in high school. It doesn't work in college. In watching the match between Tony Ramos and Blake Martella, a soph from Minooka, I noticed that Tony could not ride him. Martella wrestled him tough (defensive) on the feet. The final score was something like 8-4 (not even a major). I think Tony has some work to do to make the jump on the college level where all the guys he will face will be tough on their feet.

They wrestled in the first dual of the year. I could be dead wrong. it was an early season match. It's just what I came away with.
