Happens Tomorrow who comes out on top here?

Excuse me for asking, but why would class A Wilmington give Plainfield Central any problems? I do not know anything about Class A schools, but is Wilmington so good that they could compete against PC ? If they can, that would be a major accomplishment.

To Answer your question.. Yes Wilmington is good. They are not a typical Class A team. They are the Best Class A team in the state. I am not familiar with Wilmo's entire lineup but they have some studs that can go with anyone in any class. However, with as solid as Plainfield is they will make Wilmington Pay if Wilmo has a weak spot in their lineup. Wilmington's weak spots will have to stay off their backs in this one.

I was very impressed with the Stillman Valley wrestlers that I saw at Barrington. Would Wilmington beat Stillman Valley easily? ( Ok - enough about class A from me.) :) Thank you,

Does anyone have a definite answer, or even an idea as to what Wilmington's lineup will be this year as far as what wrestler will be at what weight?

Hear ya go....
Wilmington and thier 1A Rankings...............Plainfield & 3A Rankings
103 Alex Jones #1 --------------------Vs Nathan Davis
112 Garth Cartwright #4--------------Vs Ryan Whitten
119 ????????????????????----------------vs #10 Steven Bradtmueller
125 ?????????????????------------------vs #6 Lucas Plese
130 John VanDuyn #1 --------------vs #7 Joey Uccardi
135 Steve Hieno #1 --------------vs #8 Kyle Schomer
140 Bryan Evans #2--------------vs #5 Eric Oyster
145 ?????????????????------------------vs Ledbetter
152 Jake Murphy #1--------------vs #7 Josh Toton
160 Jeremy Baily #5--------------vs Ellingwood
171 Tom Courtney #8--------------vs#6 Danny Deufel
189 ?????????????????------------------vs HM Grant Bushby
215 ?????????????????------------------vs Nicoli Trevino
285 Alfonso Dingillo #12--------------vs Lavelle Howard

Don't know if Wilminton's Big guns can get the big points in this match up which means thier "unknown" kids at 19,25,89,215 have to wrestle tough against some tough opponents....(brandtmueller, plese, Bushby, Trevino)
Favorite Matcups....
30 VanDuyne (State Champ Class A) vs Uccardi(St Q AA) this has to be the Highlight Match
35 Hieno vs Schomer
40 Evans Vs Oyster
52 Murphy vs Toton

( Ok - enough about class A from me.) :) Thank you,The cross class duals are interesting. Two weeks ago, there was a thread regarding Stillman Valley (Ranked #2 in A) vs Yorkville (Ranked #5 in AA). The build up was fun, however, there was little to go on as the dual was on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Result: Yorkville 45 , Stillman Valley 21 .

Yorkville has several key guys out of the line up, as well, although looking at the match ups, it wouldn't have changed the team score much.

IMO Wilmington is light years ahead of the rest of A, but even with that said, here's my predictions on the key matchups:

30 VanDuyne (State Champ Class A) vs Uccardi(St Q AA) this has to be the Highlight Match --UCARDI, 4-3
35 Hieno vs Schomer -- SCHOMER 6-4
40 Evans Vs Oyster --OYSTER 6-5
52 Murphy vs Toton -- Murphy 9-5

And it's where Wilmington doesn't have the headliners that the differnece between AAA and A will show up. Think about it, round figures, Plainfield has about an extra 1000 boys more than Wilmingon to fill 5 or six gaps in the line up.

Team Score: Plainfield 39 Wilmington 17

Can't wait to see the results.

NOt positive... But Plainfield and Morris is a Conference Dual so usually that takes precedence. Then I would think PLC vs Wilmo then WILMO v MOrris

So, if PLC vs Morris starts at 5:30, then PLC vs Wilmington should start around 6:30 to 7:00 (at the earliest). And the Match is at Morris (I just checked the Morris High School Web Site). Here's another question. How will Morris do against Wilmington?
