JANUARY 15, 2009 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Just 5 team spots remain open in both the Elementary & Middle School All-Star Divisions in the inagural Ohio Tournament of Champions Team Duals, scheduled for April 25, at the Columbus Convention Center, in Columbus, OH.
---We also currently have just 3 spots remaining in the Elementary Community Division and 4 spots open in the Middle School Community Division. Several spots for the High School Divisions still remain open, but we anticipate them being filled quickly, once the High School season is over.
***Any team that notifies us, and confirms their entry, by January 31, will receive a $100 credit on their team entry fee***
We hope to have the final Elementary & Middle School All-Star spots filled by early February and, at this time, preference in filling them is being given to those that are entering a state wide all-star team (or at the very least an all-star team from a major metropolitan area). The team spots will be filled on a first come first served basis.
All participating teams will have five dual meets. In addition, the wrestlers will also have the opportunity to participate in the individual tournament, which is expecting 2700 wrestlers, should they have met proper qualification procedures and registered properly for the event.
Ages/Weights being used for the Elementary and Middle School Divisions are:
Elementary Division: For those wrestlers born in 1997-2004. There will be no restriction on where a wrestler resides to be in this division. There will be a maximum of 12 teams allowed in this division.
