It looked like Martin ran from Dennis. Dennis weighted in at 130 just to wrestle martin and he bumped to 135, martin ran to 140. Just a litle chicken @#$%. this action did not benefit Martin or Dennis.

Since when is a dual scheduled to benefit 2 wrestlers? If you think Martin ran from Dennis, you do not know wrestling. Montini did what they had to do to win the dual. Temple is a stud. Martin is a 130 pounder. That was probably a tougher match for Martin than Dennis would have been. Why didn't Deneen wrestle Beebe? Why did Grant forfeit to Mucha? For the same reason. The Grant and Montini coaches were trying to win. It's as simple as that.

Great dual. Jimmy V's not bad either. 103 match goes OT. Martin gets 6 threads in the head. The coaches were doing everything they had to do to win the dual. That is what it's all about. Fletch you hit the nail on the head. NSCFan - your commitments are uncalled for and truely uneducated in the concept of dual meet stragies. My hats off to both coachs for doing what they had to do to win for their teams.

140 - Martin (M) d. Temple 6-4
145 - T. Norton (M) d. J. Montemayor 5-4

.
Doesnt this mean benefiel can't go 140, martin can't go 130, and norton cant go 135?

Not as long as they weighed it at only one weight above. If Benefiel weighed in at 145 then he can wrestle one class up(152) but still be able to go 140. It is the weight that you weigh in at that matters.
