I know that Glenbard South wrestled Batavia on Friday night and I was wondering who won between bazigos and Oconnell. Also I saw in the paper that Behnke was listed as a 215lber might he be going up there to get away from the tought downers sectional at 189 i think it would be the smart thing to do if he wants a trip down state.

Chris Oconnell beat the Glenbard South kid 1-0 ....The glenbard south kid cut him and couldnt take him down or anything to take the win, The next day at the Batavia Tourny Oconnell took a tough lose to Valentine of morris, I belive he can beat this kid he just got caught in a tough head lock right away, it happens some times but i think Chris is one of the best Technical wrestler i have ever seen. Good luck to him i hope he places in state this year

In this observer's humble opinion, Behnke will likely win the DG sectional (Walker & Hightower 2 & 3 - not necessarily in that order... I haven't seen Smith enough to feel confident picking him). So I don't see why Behnke would bump up to 215 to face a kid (Greenwalt) that is bigger and likely stronger. Maybe some others would though. My guess is that O'Connell is a likely candidate to bump up.

But caution to any 189er that wrestles up. To quote a kid that did it early in the season and dropped back down, "Those boys are BIG!".

Behnke does not wrestle the competition those other kids do. I would be surprised if he makes it out.
