How does Barrington get 85 pts.....14 matches with 6 pts for each one, equals 84. Were there team pts added for a team penalty?

Should be 84 to -1
They subtract points for a US penalty not give 1 to the other team

Birdman is correct. The two teams cannot combine for more than 84 points in any dual. The score would be 84-minus 1.

Sometimes you will see scores like 62-29 or something like that. A score like that is always wrong. When you see that, that means the scorekeeper erroneously gave each team six points for a double forfeit at one or more weights. Neither team gets any points in the event of a double forfeit. You cannot score any points at a weight if you do not present a wrestler to the mat.
