I know these aren't your local rankings, but they should make some changes to their rankings in the area. This is no pun to you, hopefully whoever did the rankings will see this and make some changes, thanks for posting.
At 145, Swanson from Erie beat Matheius from Amboy last week 7-4, Swanson is wrestling very tough as of late.
At 160, I don't think that their is any way that Schrock from Amboy should be ranked over Troye from Newman, Troye is to strong, to skilled, and to experianced.
At 171, Kuebel from Fulton beat Kirland from Newman earlier this year up at Newman. The rest looked good, however, some of the wrestlers have been wrestling at one weight, and they have them listed at another.

Isn't Savanna in that area. They have a few wrestlers that should be there too! (I think.)

The wrestling honor roll for the sauk valley area is just that an honor roll. It is in no way a ranking in order as the matmens are. It's just for the immediate readership area of the newspapers that print it ( Sterling Gazette & Dixon Telegraph). I believe it goes by record ( Undefeated 1st an so on but it's also based on how many matches total & wins vs. losses percentage. But don't quote me on that.) It is great for the wrestlers and the fans to give the wrestlers some recognition for their efforts and let them know how they measure up to their peers via weight class and class size ( the old 1a vs 2a is better thing).

If you want to see actual rankings you should check out the Moline Dispatch on Thursdays. Shannon Heaton does a great job keeping up with wrestling in the area. A lot of the records in the Gazette are off by as many as 9 wins in some cases. The Dispatch also takes past victories into account and seperates it into class A and AA. The downside is that it only covers the Quad City area, so Savanna, Sterling Newman, etc. aren't included. Im pretty sure Newman is included in the Quad City Times though, which will be out tomorrow also.

The honor roll is not ment to rank wrestlers just list the top ones in each weight class by their records. we get the records from the coaches and sometimes the coaches help us and sometimes they don't. The honor roll is dependant on the coaches to keep updated. If the records are wrong, have the coaches send in updated records on each Wednesday.
