Homer must have a very impressive wrestling program for a kid like Radcliff to win the 95lb weight class as a second year wrestler, i am sure some extra work went into it. but still my hats off to that program. I wish our school worked like theirs in practice.

Thanks for the compliment, kidsrock. Radcliffe did wrestle the entire summer in tournaments and worked extra hard in the off season after his 1st year.

As for our success, I give credit to our core group of wrestlers that have wrestled for us since 5/6 grade. They came in this year and worked as hard as any team we've had. Had great practice partners and worked toward their goal. We are losing some good 8th graders but have some 5/6/7th grade qualifiers that I hope can pick up where they left off.

Congrats to your nephew on qualifying and winning a couple matches downstate. I know there's been a lot of talk on this site about him and he was able to ignore it and wrestle well.

It's not all about the coaches or even the kids sometimes it's the fans that can make a team great.

I always thought it was the bus driver that made all the difference....

Now that is funny but sometimes true, without the bus driver how would the kids get to the meets and tourneys.
