Even though we only have one finalist - Dylan Reel at 160 - Illinois' depth showed throughout this morning, with 16 All-Americans. Wisconsin, with 10, is the only other state in double figures.
If two of those 16 win in this ession, Illinois clinches yet another etching on the Wells Fargo team trophy. Our lead over our neighbors to the north is 58-50 as the medal matches begin.
And Wisconsin's Jason Munoz just got pinned by Missouri's Colton Howell in the 98-pound final.
The only porblem with today's session was that the geniuses in charge of floor operations closed down too many mats too soon. Joey Moorhouse finished wrestling his last match at 2:03 p.m., giving us precious little time to finish writing finalist bios and doing other pre-final stuff. Like blogging.
That's OK. Looks like there's a group picture on the raised mat coming about three hours from now.
