Five if the team has less than 13 other dates(duals/Triangulars). Check the IESA site.:)

From the IESA Wrestling Terms and Conditions (http://www.iesa.org/administration/advisory/terms/IESA-BWR_Terms.pdf)
No wrestling team representing a member school shall, in any one season exclusive of the IESA series, participate in more than:
(a) 15 dates and 1 tournament; or
(b) 14 dates and 2 tournaments; or
(c) 13 dates and 3 tournaments; or
(d) 12 dates and 4 tournaments; or
(e) 11 dates and 5 tournaments.
A regular season interscholastic date shall be defined as a date where either two or three teams are competing and a regular season tournament shall be defined as a date where four or more schools are competing. A wrestling team representing a member school is further limited to a maximum of 18 regular season matches, exclusive of all regular season and IESA series tournaments.
A member school shall submit a copy of its wrestling schedule to the IESA Office prior to its first match.
Exclusive of the IESA tournament series, individual contestants shall be limited to a maximum of five matches per day, with a minimum rest period of 45 minutes between each match and a maximum of 37 matches per season (includes all matches wrestled).
whats the point of having limits on how many matches kids get or how many trouneys they go to if the team gets tierd out thats the coachs fault. j/w

I'm not an expert on this like "double D" is, but since the IESA is a school organization, the focus needs to be on academics. I'm guessing the limits are set to make sure kids aren't being pulled away from the school's focus.
