In a tri-angular tonight at Marian Catholic,

Marist defeated St, Joseph 78-0
and Marian Catholic 71-3.

Marian's only victory was by their 135 lb'r, who
is a pretty good wrestler. I inquired about Jovan Dixon,
the fine 215 lb wrestler from Marian, and I found out he
had season ending knee surgery, we hope for a speedy
recovery so he can be back on the mat next year
for his senior season.

Tim Gleich, the 145 lb'r from Marist did not wrestle after
he rec'd 10 stitches above his left eyebrow when he was
wrestling Marty Engwall (Providence) on Thursday night.

Marist is due to be in Coal City tomorrow at 9:00 am
for a quad with Bloomington, Wilmington, and the host.
With the snowfall at 2" per hour, that may be in
jeopardy....

If Joe doesnt get on the sled dogs to head down
to the boonies for that quad, he most definitely
will be at the CCL, because any good wrestling
fan with half a brain knows, that is the place to
be !!!! And then I we most certainly will look up
Alvin and the "Twist"...... hey, that sounds like
a new band.......

The CCL should be a barn burner, I look for some
stunning upsets, which some folks think could never
happen, which makes wrestling the great sport that
it is......
