Does it seem like since nobody can post under anonymous, this message board has lost excitement? Granted it is a wrestling message board, but some of the anonymous posters really set up some good debates. Maybe I am wrong, but Everyime I come back to the board nothing new has been posted. I am aware that it could also be because of the having 2 message boards for a while. Anybody that has anything to post please do.

Agreed with you on the "No anonymous" posters part. It will not be as exciting for a while. But I have faith that those anonymous posters will return. Once they can figure out how to register with the word anonymous. LOL. Give it time, they will come back. Not trying to sound cocky...but Illinois Wrestling fans, wrestlers, parents and friends...NEED their message boards!

You might be right, though posters are still anonymous from other posters if they want to be (name, address, etc.). I think part of it may be that we are all used to the other Board. It will take a while to get used to this one. I don't like it as much (though there are more bells and whistles), but I think it is because I am not used to it yet.

Yes, it remains to be seen, but it does appear that the inability to post as anonymous will make some hesitant to post.

Most anonymous posts were positive and insightful.

I agree with the anonymous posters adding a little bit of "flavor" to the mix. Some of them were pretty good and some were quite entertaining. However, I must say that the trash talk and a bunch of the "negativity" that we've seen in the past has been done away with and that is a good thing. I'm taking some time to get used to the new board as well, and I'm starting to like it. Once the old one shuts down I'd bet that this one picks up. I'd much rather read and post to some quality topics of conversation than to sort through all the "garbage" on the other one.

Matmen could always try turning anonymous posts back on for a while and see how things go. He would probably just need to have a few extra moderators to help keep the board clean.
