I Am A Concerned Parent Wondering Why The Heavyweight Wrestler With (7 Yrs Exp ? ) From The Gladiaters W.c. Was Able To Continue To Wrestle In The Tournament After He Blatanly Took A Oakforest (1 Yr ?) Wrestler To The Middle Of The Mat Looked At His Coach And Then Suplexed Him Over His Head Causing The Kid To Hit His Head & Neck On The Mat, This Action Caused The Kid To Be Taken Away In A Ambulance?. I Over Heard His Coach's Explanation That They Are Teaching Grecco Moves In Practice. I Am Not To Familiar With Grecco Moves, But I Am Positive That The Way This Move Was Done That It Would Have Been Illegal In Grecco Also. I Am Asking The Ikwf To Investigate This Action And Reprimand This Wrestler And Coaching Staff For Their Actions. Lets Not Forget That This Is Folkstyle And Not Grecco!!!!!!! Lets Not Forget The Saftey Of Our Children!!! Also I Would Like To Send Out A Get Well To This Wrestler From Oakforest.

I will pass along your well wishes. Thank you. The Oak Forest wrestler is a first year and has a sprained neck. No forseen long term damage. Hope to have him back by regionals if he chooses. The opponent was called for an illlegal move but not removed from competition, that is the officials descretion. We can't fault the other wrestler if he attempted a legal move and executed it poorly, mistakes happen. Hopefully his coaches will re-enforce this with him.

First off, the move was called illegal. Second the move was not made to intentionally hurt the other wrestler. It was an illegal hold and you can't kick a wrestler out of a tournament for an illegal hold unless the official thinks there was an intent to injure. Lets get off this blame everyone kick and hope the young man makes a full recovery. Good luck to all in there regionals and beyond.
