Kennedy VS Gomez

Since Kennedy has already beaten Precin (one of the best in his time), I am interested in how people think he would fare against wrestlers from an earlier time, namely Joe Gomez. With Kennedy enrolling at U of I in the fall, this great fantasy of a match may, in fact, become reality. How do you guys think it will go next year? Also, how do you think it would go if Jimmy as a high school senior wrestled Joe as a high school senior. Just curious, I think right now Gomez is too strong for Kennedy. However, in both of their respective senior years I think Kennedy's quickness and explosiveness prevail. Let me know what you think.

For the record, Gomez 2x state champ, 1 2nd, 1 3rd (I think); Kennedy 2x state champ, 1 2nd, 1 3rd (I know)

If they wrestled today, Gomez would give Kennedy a pretty good beating. I think that when its all said and done, Kennedy will be a better wrestler in college. But you get a guy with a years experience up there at huff hall, and he becomes one tough SOB

i think that gomez has the better edge since he's been through GBN wrestling with coach hahn which i have experienced being a GBN wrestler

i think it would be an awesome match to watch. nonstop movement and excitement. senior year gomez wrestled cautiously i think so he wouldnt make any mistakes. im gunna have to go with my man gomez on this one.

I see Gomez taking over the U of I 125 spot next year.(keep in mind you have kingler there as well.) I see Jimmy getting bigger being a 33/41 pounder. Maybe by the time Flores a soph(i think) Graduates Kennedy could step in there.

gomez is too big for 25... it was proven when he couldnt make weight in the beginning of the year. i think that he would fit well in the 33 spot and flores goes to the 41 spot..

no he couldnt make the weight and later on in the season ott decided he was gunna go 25. so gomez needs to deal with flores for a spot in the line-up
