The assistant coach will be responsible to assist in the management and administration of all aspects of the wrestling program. Duties include demonstrating wrestling skills and techniques; practice planning and coaching; recruiting; scheduling and travel management; assisting in the academic progress and retention of student-athletes; engaging in fund raising; assisting with camps and clinics. Candidates must be committed to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete and have a thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree; demonstrated coaching experience; and strong organizational, oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications Preferred: Successful competitive experience in wrestling on the university/college level, particularly at Division I; strong recruiting connections in the Chicagoland area; and a commitment to diversity.
