Champaign Central will be in the mix with normal and bloomington as they have been in the top 3 for the past couple years.

i think that this year will be one of our better ones. last year we had 3 seniors, one of which was injured for most of the year and the other quit. for once we will have a good light weight, not the best, but he is good. the lighter weights will be interesting to see. there are some good freshman this year.
103- Tanner (freshman)
112- McGregor ( probably moved to normal)
119- Monson (freshman)
125- Weaver
130- Hutchenson
135- Delp
140- Eaton (no clue with him.... his weight went way up after the season last i checked was fresh-soph state when he came to watch, he was at 119 but he was weighing 140....his dad finally let him eat more food is my guess)
145-
152- McGinnis (still may be heavier probably 60)
160- Ross
171- Ross or Repplinger (Ross wants to be 171 but will most likely be 160)
189- Flex
215- Elam
HWT- open
as i said this it not entirely accurate i will update it when i find out more.

I'm not real sure what makes you think Central will be up fighting for position... where will their points be coming from? Freshman?
Wrestleman17
10-02-2006, 11:55 PM
Champaign Central will have a decent lineup that i think will look like this
103- Sills
112- Gradney (Sectional qualifier)
119- Ingersoll (State Qualifier)
125- Gyllenson
130- Seets (Sectional Qualifier)
135- Bazelle-Smith
140- Middleton
145- Marmion
152- Ward ( 2nd in ikwf)
160- Smith (Sectional Qualifier)
171-?
189-?
215- Leman
HWT- (Adkisson)
I think when they fill those holes that will be a good lineup for them. They have been in the top 3 the last few years so I dont see why they wouldnt be this year unless you can explain.

I don't think Gradney can make 112. He barely made 119 last year. What weight did Smith wrestle last year?

OK - lets take a closer look at this line-up. It doesn't appear to be anything to get too excited about. I'm saying there are other teams that appear stronger for top 3... Urbana with prob. 3 Conf. champs, N. West solid returners throughout the line-up...but i'll take your word for it.
103 - Sills - Avg - Below Avg.
112 - Gradney - Transfer from Rantoul - Avg.- Above Avg. wrestler, I'll take your word that he will be at 112.
119 - Ingersol - Proven wrestler - good
125 - Gyllenson - ?
130 - Seets - Above average.
135 - Bazelle-Smith - ? New Varsity guy ?
140 - Middleton - 2-17 last season at regionals... don't expect big points here.
145 - Marmion - Avg. -
152 - Ward - Freshman... this is H.S... big transition.
160 - Smith - Lets not get too excited about Sectional qualifier at weak Regional with 10 varsity wins under his belt.
171 - No Name Here
189 - No Name Here
215 - Leman - Not varsity last season.
275 - Adkisson in par. - not sure what this means

I'm not saying that its a perfect line up but I just dont want everyone counting us out and putting centennial ahead of us. Centennial lost their whole team pretty much and now all they have left is Luyando. Gradney may not even stay at central if conflicts keep arising. Centennial beat west last year and Central went to beat centennial by around 11 or 12 so I honestly dont think we will be as weak as everyone expects.

west should be solid! we have every one back exept Danny Hafley! Hafley was a big part of our team but we're getting alot of good freshman and the line up we had last year was young but solid! we're gonna be young again but should have a nice shot at top 3 in big 12!

what do you mean should be good. i think west will be big 12 champs this year they have so many good kids coming back.
Pressure33
10-10-2006, 12:22 AM
West should be a pretty solid team but may lack the first place potential to make a run at a title this season. Not too many of their kids are considered the best in the Big 12 at their respective weights, if any. Gotta have some champs to take home team titles.

Your right we should be good! we have the potential to be big 12 champs! But with the big 12 being as tough as it is i dont see us winning it all! but you never know if we have a good day anything is possible and we could suprise every one and win the big 12!

it doesnt matter west has a solid wrestler at almost every weight class! McGinnis,Flex, Elam, Rep, Walden, Eaton, Ross, Delp, Weaver, Hutchinson could all have the shot to take atleat top 3 at big 12 on any day! dont dought west! we're going to surprise every one! we should win big 12! or atleat top 3!

you guys look alright but im not that impressed! i think west against normal will be closer than you think! your weakest part of your line up is our strongest point! so i think it will be a close dual! atleat closer than you think!

That Normal line-up is good but it does have some serious holes in it. Looks to be a better Tournament Team. Who are the 215 & 275lbers?

Yes Luyando is the only wrestler going out at Centennial and has looked great wrestling himself during the off season. He is asking permission from the IHSA to wrestle 7 weight classes so they can have 1/2 of a line-up

Tony was at 119 last yr, im shure IRNMN will tell you the same thing. And the last time I saw Troemel he was big and beating the crap out of guys in an offseason tourney.

The way I see it their 2 toughest meets are the ones they are forced to wrestle at inner city against Bloomington & Normal. Anyone see something I don't?
