WOW! The Alleman Pioneers beat the defending Western Big Six Champion East Moline Panthers by 1 point. Alleman is for real folks. Match ends on a pin by Sophomore Ryan Hinzman. The most exciting match I've seen in quite some time. Both teams handled themselves with 100% class. Great Coaching on both sides. Never die attitudes by every wrestler. Nip and tuck all the way. Congratulations to Alleman and East Moline for putting on one helluva show.

I wasnt in attendance tonight... But boy did I hear it was exciting... It seems like the Pioneers all turned it up a notch tonight... East Moline is great team that has shot at winning their AA regional... This is HUGE feat for Alleman.. This proves to me that this team is for real this year!!! They have a great shot to do something special... Boy I cant wait to see them at the PIT...

Another exciting match last night. Came down to the last match. Rock Island needed a pin to win by one. 140# Curtis Lewis had the moline kid pinned for 25 seconds, no call...place going nut's, Olie Johnson the ref, cant hear the buzzer.

He calls the pin 1-2 seconds after the buzzer, and all hell broke lose, after review, no pin, Curtis wins the match, but only a 3 pointer!

Great matchs. Rock Island gave up a forfiet at 160#, in which I can not figure out why, plenty of JV guys to throw in there???
