Mr. Twister, your announcement reminds me that last year Dustin Schlatter competed in the 20-and-under division at this tournament. To say that J Robinson's decision to have Dustin compete in this division was criticized is an understatement. On themat.com forum, the Ok State, Iowa, and other folks thought that J's decision was the worst tactical decision since Pickett's Charge. They didn't just say "I think it was a bad decision" but kept saying it over and over in ever nastier terms...
I think Dustin's season turned out pretty well. Seems J Robinson knows a thing or two about college wrestling.

Conquistadors,
Results dont prove right or wrong, he could have not even AA'd and it would still be the same right or wrong decision.
Twist,
What weight is mario going in what division? Last year the last match ended at 11:45pm, quite a tournament, and quite a drive out there for a few schools.

How are them Boehm boy's at uno doing? Please keep me informed how they do at the open tournaments. UNO seems a little slow to update there wrestling web site. Unless I have the wrong site. Good luck to Mario. Have they had there wrestle off's yet?

Mario will be at 133 in the 20 and under division. It will be his first tournament. Coach puts all of his freshmen in the 20 and under. A wise decision. We will get to the other division in a couple of years, Mario turns 19 tomorrow 11/11. No rush to wrestle the grown men.

You got the right site. They are a little slow. They just put up the first tourney results.
UNO does not do wrestle offs. The coaches make their decisions based on how a wrestler looks in the opens and on the needs of the team.
The Boems are doing good. I believe the true freshman won the tournament last week. You can check it on the UNO site.
I will be down at the Kaufman-Brand as will a few others like Mike Bare and JD Oliva. We plan to send some pic both still and video (wrestling recap) back.

Well you know there are a lot of experts on the internet. Be sure to read Rob Sherrill's collumn this month in W.I.N. Magazine to see what I mean.
From what I could tell that 20 and under division is pretty competitive. There were a lot of studs especially in the lower weights. I expect my boy to have his hands full.
