Some posted this in th eOLD forum wich will be lost in 3 days. I like the Idea so I am postin it here, to where it will be bumped back to the top so it wont get lost.

"Let me know your thoughts on the following:
Drawing the weight the finals would start with like it is done for dual meets. This is my reasoning behind this, 1 the heavier weights might have more than a handful of fans to watch them earn their state title. 2 The anticipation to watch a great match up like Jordan vs. Robbins if they were the last match of the night. 3 Money of course the more fans that stay the more to be made. 4 I think it would be something unique that would keep the IHSA wrestling state finals the premier event in Illinois sports"

I think it all sounds good.

I was actually thinking that to myself the other day. Every year I have gone down there people usually start leaving during the 215 match and leave the heavys with nobody really. It would be interesting to see if this is possible. I dont' see why we couldn't do it. You are correct with the more money aspect too. And every kid that wrestles in the finals deserves to have a packed house watching them. Let's see if it happens!!!!

I like the idea even if it is only for the finals. Probably could be done
in some tournaments or reg. or even sect. as experiment. If it keeps
more interest that is for sure a good thing!
