It is :( that a there is no results available for a tounament as big as the PIT, with all the hype and all the great match ups. Belvidere and Montini travel to Cheesehead land and they have bout by bout updates as the tournament is going on. Maybe us flat landers need to modernize our technology.

If anyone has results please post.

So i have been looking, and have found one result from friday...bloomington had the team lead over harvard 66-49. Princeton 152lb pinned the kid from vandalia and was wrestling bauer (Oregon) in semi's. All i found. that was from the princeton newspaper that hasn't updated yet.

After a long weekend and excellent wrestling, here are some thoughts.

Dakota is everything and more from what I have heard. After watching them, I believe they can beat Montini because their upper weights will pound Montini and their lower guys won't get pinned by Montini's All Stars in the lower weights. In addition, we should send Dakota's head coach to Iraq. His demeanor and intensity could have all weapons laid down at once just with a look into his eyes! But boy, can his crew wrestle!

103 Clark is real deal in beating Johnson in their rematch of last year - do Bloomington wrestlers ever show any emotion? Alber impressive in a loaded field
112 Bybee the freshman wrestles like a senior - his hype was well deserved by beating a tough guy in Zurcher
119 Ryan - no one in Class A will come near him if he wrestles every match like he did at the PIT - incredible display
125 DeCap has pinned Walk and Hollowell this year - only Beebe can stop him
130 Loy beat Talley in a good final - Talley seemed like an unknown in this weight but wrestled well
135 Robbins had no cakewalk in beating Milks, who was very impressive. Robbins gives the impression that no Class A guy can dare stay with him -
140 Olsen beat a good Hinzman in the final - top 2 guys fought it out in the final in an average, but not great, weight class
145 Cox snuck out the war with Kimberlin - Kimberlin tried a desperation throw which he didn't need to do in O.T. - Kindelsperger got hammered in the quarters but came back to finished 4th - loaded field - Lind just a little overrated??
152 Pieritz won the muscle contest with Graybill - I was hoping it would go to TB when Pieritz deferred choice in 2nd period in a 0-0 contest - coaches looked real happy with his decision but it worked out in the end - maybe Bauer should bump back up to 160 after his 6th place finish
160 Murphy and Vickers had a classic I-8 battle in this weak 160 field - Murphy win in O.T. on a controversial takedown call on the edge of mat - where was Gatten from Mac?
171 Wenger wins but Cox gave him a pretty good test as anyone could
189 Winterhalter seemed to tech everyone he met. Kaufman gave him a scare when he ALMOST had him on his back
215 Haeflinger vs. Vercelli - Haeflinger wins 3-2 in the most anticipated match of the tourney and it didn't disappoint - should make for a fun February date in Champaign
275 Harbin buries Cain in first period in the only match I thought he came out to wrestle - Cooper either is overrated or just had a bad day

In closing, Flashy's rankings will probably take him a long time to revise with the many upsets and matches that were wrestled. For the most part, I thought this was one of the best behaved crowds at a big tourney that I have been at. The only thing I didn't like was having to leave the gym before finals. I saw no need for it except to possibly get more money.

Does anyone have brackets to post? What happened with Alleman? Only 80 some team points? Riverdale have a shot to make it out of regionals after seeing the team results? Who got OW?

103-135 Clark 103 Orion
140-275 Haeflinger 215 Harvard

Both superb choices in my opinion.
