Mt Carmel sweeps Oakville Gateway Super Duals

Mt Carmel won the 10 team Oakville Gateway Super Duals in Oakville Mo.(suburb of St Louis) posting a perfect 5-0 record. The Caravan defeated seven time Indiana state champs Mater Dei 48-10 and won four other duals also.

Eight wrestlers posted perfect records with 20 falls among them. B J Futrell, Dontae Brown, Mario Morgan, Kenny Jordan, Khris Argue, Darrick Hardy, Christian Brantley and Jose Esparza all were prefect on the day.

Khris Argue captured tournament outstanding wrestler when he defeated (#2 USA/ #1 Indiana) ranked Wesley English 4-2 at the 145 weigh class.

Mt Carmel next wrestles at home against Hubbard on Jan. 14th.

Not quite the talent level of The Clash, but great job! I will be interested to see how the CCL tournament goes. It looks like Providence will win it, but do you think Mt Carmel will finish above St Rita. I am sure Mt Carmel will win their regional, but what about their team sectional?

everyone talks about futrell but he lost to mitka from rita and mitka pretty much handled him

You have to remember, Futrell isn't a true 103. More like 85 soaking wet. Bigger guys will put him down on the mat a lot easier. Once BJ fills to a true 103 size, he'll be hard to stop with his speed.
