103 - Surber dominated that bracket!

112 - Congrats to Alli Ragan for qualifying for state. She is tough little girl and appears to be the new darling of the wrestling community as she won the fans over at Chatham.

119 - Thomas has a chance to place at state

125 - Can you believe Jackson is only a freshmen? He has a bright future ahead of him. Also, I question some calls in that third place match, but congrats to Crone for qualifying for state.

130 - Lowe appears to be on a mission this year! This bracket was loaded and I feel bad someone had to get 4th because all 4 deserved to go.

135 - Beasley stepped up his game at the right time

140 - Carney and Jackstadt are solid and are only a sophmores so these two will battle in the future

145 - Hickman is better than advertise and will be back next year.

152 - Walliser stepped it up in the wrestlebacks and sneak out a third. He should of beat Constant on Friday.

160 - The third place match between Ecroline and Prause was a real thriller

171 - Grant and Treat both got decent chances to place with the right draw

189 - Penny tied the Granite City all time pin record by pinning his way to 1st.

215 - Barnett is a surprise when he beat Martin Smith on his way to first.

285 - Congrats to Whitted for placing second (When was the last time Jerseyville had 2 people going to state?)! Springer wrestled a good tournament!

Thanks to the Triad coaches and wrestlers for letting me sit by them for the finals after I got ran out of the Edwardsville section :D !

Yeah, you're lucky E'ville is chalked full of Keith Surber fans. That t-shirt saved you from getting banned from the tournament. :p

Results are up on IHSA.org and state bracket pairings. You can tell who you are wrestling in your first and second matches at state.

I love the camaraderie of the southern wrestling teams. Something that Chicago doesn't have. I saw quite a few coaches congradulating kids not on thier squads and the same with parents and wrestlers.

I know that team scores aren't official . Anyone have them?????
