This is another thread that was lost. I remember that the lineup was posted but can't recall the entire team. Could someone please post the latest lineup? Also, post the date, time & location for the benefit of myself & other wrestling enthusiasts. Thanks.

Thursday, March 8th at 7pm at meramec College. Take I-44 west to Big bend exit go right and you will run into the college. Please come out and support Illinois. It is $5.00 to get in and usually a good night of wrestling. Lets see how we stack up with Missouri.

Not exactly sure who is wrestling 145 because we had a kid drop out so we are making phone calls. Neither team had a 103 so we are using to 112's.

Is Vito Krischke(I know I butchered that) wrestling 130? I'd like to see him and Lowe go at it.

Tuesdays Post Dispatch listed Miles Bolin from Ft. Zumwalt West as the probable opponent for Lowe. This meet always has several last minute changes to the lineups.

Why doesn't Grahek or Stassi wrestle 112.

I believe they are both wrestling 112 - Grehek against Knott -- Stassi against Bunch.

Neither team had a 103 with Kraeger getting hurt (I'm not sure what happened to Brock Summers from MO at 103).

Back in the mid-eighties this was a freestyle match. Is it still, or has it gone to folkstyle?

It's folkstyle

Does anyone know when it switched over?

I know for a fact that from the late 70's until '86 this was folkstyle. I can't speak to the late 80's or early 90's, because I didn't see any of them, but it would seem absurd to have the "best" seniors in high school (folkstyle) compete in freestyle.

I know in 1985 it was freestyle. I competed in it.

Unless I'm losing my mind. I remember Kip Kristoff wrestled a kid named Sisson (sp?) who was very good and I think won by 1. And Copache Tyler wrestled a 2 timer from Missouri named Jackson at 185 and lost 9-10.

Heck, maybe it was folkstyle...too long ago.
