Just my opinions!
Alber and Peterson have an excellent shot at the state titles at 103 and 112, both were dominant and are peaking at the right time.
#2 ranked Howard doesn't make it out at 119. Lawton is solid on his feet and could make things interesting at state but can he take down Ryan like he did Howard and Taylor.
Walk showed determination in rebounding from a quick Decap takedown but I would have liked to see this one decided on the mat and not by the ref (stalling point) that had me scratching my head.
130...Holder out. Unranked Lahman looked great, dominating #3 & #4. Talk about sleepers!!!
135 matches were awesome to watch, in the finals, both went to OT. Toss up at state as Gosa and Milks looked pretty even and Schwartz could beat either of them.
140 Olsen looked good but can't handle Bennefiel. With a good draw, he could make it to the finals though.
152 #1 Pieritz and #4 Graybill don't make it out! Blanton is solid! but can this freshman go undefeated. I think so!
160 Troye is a technician. I think this is his year for a title. Sacco could place also.
171 Wenger will not be contested. You can't take him down! As a Sterling Newman Fan, I'm glad he split Troye and Norberg because I think that he would win any weight he wrestled at, including Haeflinger (that might be a stretch but I know it would be a tough match).
189 Norberg has Winterhalter's number but this match was closer than last year. Probable state final rematch. Mucha is the only one that could beat either. The pairings should be interesting.
215 Haeflinger vs Vercelli should be great rematch of semis last year. Haeflinger surely has the bitter taste of the 7-6 loss still in his mouth.
HWT I don't want to offend anyone but I just can't see Cain as a medal winner. 1 point matches will catch up with him I think. I'll be rooting for him though.
