Team Illinois Coaches
Who are they for each style at the Cadet and Junior levels and how are they chosen? Do any of them have Senior level national and/or international experience?

Here's a list of guys, in no particular order, in the Chicago area alone that I can think of right off of the top of my head who are no longer competing and have significant international experience. This isn't to say that the current coaches aren't getting the job done, because they are doing an amazing job, but how much use to do we utilize these guys anymore and how much better would our kids be if they were helping?
Steve Marianetti - US National Team - Freestyle Kevin Bracken - US National Team/Olympian - Greco-Roman Mark Massery - US National Team - Freestyle Ali Abuhlaleh - Jordanian National Team - Greco-Roman Eric Wetzel - US National Team - Greco-Roman Carmelo Flores - Puerto Rican National Team/Olympian - Freestyle Dan Santana - Puerto Rican National Team- Greco-Roman and Freestyle

One time Olympian - 1992 at 90kgs. However, he has some impressive finishes in tournaments like the World Cup, Pan Ams and World Championships, where he was a runner-up in '89.
Great about the kids, but back to the question: why are these guys not in the fold and being completely utilized by ILUSAW? I know that Flores and Wetzel have worked with Illinois national teams before, but I can't help but think that if all of these guys are asked to offer their help that not only would it raise the level of ther kids who are already competing, but it would make for the depth in the state approaching that of Pennsylvania's, though not equal to that.

Coach Flores coached the greco junior team in 2004 along with Coach Falico, coach Powel and Coach Rozdolsky. It was those coaches who developed Clayton's love for Greco. They were a great combo and started the upswing you see today in participation in greco in Illinois, IMO. I'll never forget Coach Falico dancing during warm-ups right before each dual. Coach Wetzel was at the greco duals last year, but couldn't do much with the boys due to shoulder injury. If I had to guess, he'll be there this year as well. I also hope Nick (Coach Rozdolsky) is back.
