Awesome news and a heck of a good pick up for Nebraska. I can't wait to watch McMurtry in college.

Great pickup for Nebraska, and great for Shaun'Qae as well. I think he'll redshirt his first year too, which I like to see for almost all wrestlers. His second year though, there will be one hell of a battle for the spot at 165 between him and Kokesh, I would love to be in the room to see those two go at it.

I saw him at the Illinois Indiana dual. What a gutsy athletic & fearless style he has. His 'NO FEAR' mentality will enable him to make the quantum leap jump UP into D-1.
We all remember Ernest Benion from Romeoville 20 yrs ago, an unheralded one time state champ who only 2 yrs later was D-1 NCAA national champ @ 158. McMurty in my estimation HAS what it takes to walk into the circle for a national championship match in a few years. Brutally hard work and guts required, he can do it. |
