M. Park Harlem vs Dakota

This Tuesday 11/25 and early season showdown of northern Illinois wrestling powers takes place between Harlem and Dakota. What is everyone thoughts on this dual and it's outcome?

Should be some good wrestling. Wonder which weight Hecox will be, 171 or 189?

more like will he be at 171 or 160? I heard before the season he was weighing around 175. I heard he will be at 160 or 171. My guess is 171

Harlem--Northern Il power ? I would not say that yet but they are getting there. They have a shot at Hononegah this year, they lost some good guys.

Heard Hecox is starting out at 189 this year and might try going to 171. 171 should be a good spot for him cuz seen Dwyer and he had to be in the high 190,s , no way he will go back to 171

Hecox had trouble holding 160 last year (didn't make it for regionals), which tells me he was still growing. Being a year older, I would think 171 is his lowest tournament weight.

Well who is besides Grant and Libertyville. They have a solid history in Illinois wrestling. Don't be so hard on the north side. I mean we know it's not the south or west suburbs but then again who is....LOL. Still they are decent and it is as good of a match up as you are going to get on that side of the state.

Dakota's Brady Schlueter vs. Harlem's Derek Elmore @ 103 Brady's a SQ last year and ranked #2 in A - I see where Elmore won Fresh/Soph State and should be ranked high in AAA when rankings come out. Should be a good match to watch.

Dakota'a Caleb Straub ranked #10 vs. Harlem's Sterling Hecox
Don't know if Seth Milks ranked #1 is going 125 or 130

Watch out for the Harlem Huskies this year. With only two starting seniors next year will be even greater. We have seven 8th graders that should place at the IKWF state later this year.
