I think it has to be Surber. He manhandled a highly skilled defending state champion. Congenie was also impressive. Although the score was close (4-2) he must have ridden Miller for four minutes. Schneider and Mitchell both looked great and wrestled the best match of the night, in spite of the ending.

There were a lot of outstanding matches and wrestlers but the 4 wrestlers that stood out were #1) Ben Whitford -he was never really challenged and put on a clinic in the final! #2) Schneider was impressive - he had a torn rotator cuff at least since the quarter finals. Unfortunately we won't get to see a healthy Max get to wrestle Mitchell. Mitchell looked very tough. Remember that Max gave Nick Dardanes his only loss of the year. #3) Lee Munster - just flat out tough. #4) Congenie - only a sophmore and continues to improve - 4x state is in his future.
