If you were to start a football team, and could pick any 5 NFL pros to be the foundation for your team, and assuming money was not an option, who would they be, and why? Feel free to critique mine, and others.

My picks...
Peyton Manning-He's a field general, he's as much of a coach on the feild as much as he is a player. He's as smart as they come, and is a proven winner.
Brian Urlacher-Centerpiece of the Bears' defense, he makes everyone around him play better. He's smart, strong, and a big name player.
LaDainian Tomlinson-A very versatile runner. Can run and catch efficiently. He is an agile runner, while at the same time, can lower his shoulders and get the tough yards.
Walter Jones-One of the best, if not the best, linemen in the league. Essential, because he needs to protect QBs blindside. A very well rounded pick.
Julius Peppers-A freak. Essential in creating pressure on the QB, and is also solid against the run. Will make the whole defense better.

I would choose Tom Brady because he's simply the best in the league right now in a 2 minute drill

Urlacher and LT for the same reason you stated

Bob Sanders because there's no one in the leauge with as much heart as this guy

Steve Smith because there is no one as offensivly explosive as him in the league...hes a play maker

About Tom Brady: That two minute drill didn't really help them too much in their loss to the Colts, did it?

About Steve Smith: He's not a very explosive receiver...he is more of a tough-underneath type of player.
