Funny thought from me.

I grew up boxing and was supposed to turn pro @ 16.

Scoring took a dramatic, major turn with compu scoring.
I think thats what killed boxing.
Olympic scoring messed it all up.

If you go to a smoker (amateur fight card).
The judges see through every aspect of the fight.

I already read this; Lampey, Atlas, and a BUNCH of others said this was total BS. Two different unofficial scorers had it 11-1 Pacquiao!!!! Every person I heard from who is a credible boxing authority in my eyes said Pacquiao threw and landed more punches, landed more effective punches, and clearly out boxed Bradley enough to win easily.

Funny thing is, I used to love Olympic Boxing back in the '70s and early '80s. You had 3 rounds FULL of action, white scoring zones on the gloves, and a US team loaded with talent. My favorite Olympic fight of all time was Leon Spinks vs Sixto Soria (Cuba) in the finals. Spinks (Fighting Bull of Camp LeJune) won the first two rounds easily. In the 3rd round the Cuban came out and hit him with a flurry of everything he had...which Leon shook-off, backed Soria up and decked him!

On a side note, Teofilo Stevenson recently passed; 3-time Cuban Gold Medalist. He was a BEAST and skilled. Always wondered how good he could have been as a pro.

Wow can't believe he died.
Especially with no news coverage without searching.

I remember the big talk from the adults wishing he would defect and turn Pro.
