I remember seeing you there last year and if I remember right every weight was loaded. 20 and under and the open. Don't believe NIU is going this year so I won't get to take that exciting drive across Iowa to see one of the best tournaments of the year.

because of the certification rules you can only lose 1.5% of your body weight per week, i cant go 25 for a long time, im probably staying at 33 to help the team to, our 25 is tough andre taylor, i will be at 33... canty at 41... hunter davenport at 49 (3x VA state champ)

Good job Albert

White really has the makings to be a great college wrestler. I wish he had spent more time on his studies so we could see him compete at the Division 1 level. I am always amazed how some athletes spend countless hours conditioning, drilling, perfecting their level of performance and competing and fail to put in the time necessary to get reasonably good grades. I know some kids will not be A students regardless of the time commitment, but with very few exceptions, high schoolers who put enough time in will get reasonable grades and do well enough on their ACT to get into a D1 program.

Perhaps I am wrong and White put in as much time with his studies as his wrestling and he is just too academically challenged, but I would suspect not.

I can't wait to see him compete against the best as he will prove to be one of Illinois' best.

Albert will be on the D1 level in a couple of years. And by the way things are looking, he will be challenging for a title right away.
