R-C vs. Wilmington

This neighborhood rivalry happens this Tuesday. With R-C's near upset of Lisle last week, this could be a decent match but here are the only matches I think could be worth the price of admission.

103 Jones vs. Eichelberger - should be a great match again - hopefully, the post-match theatrics will be eliminated this time around

125 VanDuyne vs. Lenig - hopefully Lenig will bump up but R-C has a guaranteed win at 119 if he stays at 119

152 Bailey vs. Giffin - this match alone is worth admission - it will be 6 minutes of all-out effort by both guys

160 Courtney vs. Garbin - I think they went 1-1 vs. each other Saturday

189 Cotham vs. Strohm - Strohm should win but Cotham is getting better every week and won't resort to cheapshots

The other weights should all be Wilmington wins.

It is easier to bump up than go down. Why didn't Howe bump up to go after Fritz?

What was your take on this weekend's R-C tournament? No one has really said much about it on the other post. I figure you were there so how was it? I read who won matches and that Howe is as good as advertised. I assume he was OW?

The only time Fritz wrestled 160 was at Princeton and I heard they had a 4 pound weight allowance. Every other time he was at 171. I'm not sure he can beat Bahrs at 160 but I think he could beat Hauter at 171. That 11 pound difference between 160 and 171 is huge for a guy like Fritz.

Score

From what I remember that night - score was something like 55-9 Wilmington.

103 Jones (W) majored Eichelberger
125 VanDuyne (W) pinned Lenig
152 Bailey (W) beat Giffin (RC) 5-3 - great match - all muscle - few moves
160 Garbin (RC) won - Courtney didn't wrestle
189 Strohm (RC) beats Cotham in O.T.
