So which team is the best team and why are they the #1 team in the south...

This is an easy question. Edwardsville has had the most success and clearly are the best team and that is without there best wrestler who would've been very dangerous at 125 and definitely placed.He was undefeated when hebroke his arm.

i agree with Formerwrestler. Edwardsville beat Granite City with ease and they will, without a doubt, win the Southern Sectional again.

Edwardsville has a well put together team, that in this decade (at least) nobody will stop them anytime soon. good luck to all of them in the state series.

It still could be an interesting Regional with Granite and Eville meeting in a tournament style. There are many factors and I honestly think it could be a swing either way. Granite, in recent history, has been a better tournament team than a dual team. I think if we are talking about an overall team, I think this year Eville has a better team with a better feeder program than Granite. But that doesn't mean the better team will always win.
