The MadDog Wrestling Academy starts today for the 2005 Spring/Summer Illinois Wrestling season. This year we will conduct registration on the following dates:



March 1 6:30pm – 8:30pm

March 3 6:30pm – 8:30pm



March 8 6:30pm – 8:30pm

March 10 6:30pm – 8:30pm



March 22 6:30pm – 8:30pm

March 24 6:30pm – 8:30pm


Registration will be held in the Schaumburg H.S. wrestling room. You may register at any practice after March 1st. You should check the website, http://www.MadDogWrestling.org, for practice times and dates. Participants will be provided with insurance and a membership card that will enable them to participate in any Illinois sanctioned tournaments. This includes the state tournament series. Practice starts March 1st and will be held at Schaumburg High School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 until 8:30 in the evening.



MadDog Wrestling Academy is a self-supporting, non-profit organization run by volunteer coaches and parents. Our program is open to all athletes, of all levels and abilities. Our mission is to teach, develop, condition, and train Champions for Life. We want every wrestlers experience in the organization to be a positive one that they will take with them the rest of their lives. Each athlete will experience many character-building qualities like physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, success, failure, sportsmanship, and commitment in their quest to become champions. They will appreciate the sense of accomplishment that they achieve personally and as part of a team. Above all, our goal is to make sure that each participant is having fun within a safe and positive atmosphere while developing character and dignity through the oldest sport known to man.


The MadDog membership has included residents of Hanover Park, Streamwood, Hoffman Estates, Bartlett, Roselle, Bloomingdale, Elk Grove Village, Rolling Meadows, Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Palatine, Chicago, Libertyville, St. Charles and Schaumburg.

The club participates within USA Wrestling and its Illinois affiliate the IKWF (Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation), IAWA (Illinois Amateur Wrestling Assoc.) and AAU (Amateur Athletic Union).

Registration fee is $100. The fee includes an USA Wrestling card ($75 if you have a USA card already), insurance, t-shirt and facility fee. The USA card entitles the wrestler to enter any sanctioned tournament and provides accident insurance. Please be aware that a wrestler does not need to be in the Schaumburg attendance area to participate in the program. This program is designed to enhance the junior high and high school programs and provide younger wrestlers with an opportunity to gain additional experience and competition over and beyond that provided in the school programs.
