I'll go first, no particular order: Mahomet Seymore, Rock Island, Dixon, Crystal Lake Central, Yorkville, Sandwich, Rock Island, Fenton, Ottawa, Bloomington.

That's ten, who did I miss? Need some help from the South.

This little exercise makes me think that there is a lot of opportunity in Class AA for sleepers, or up and comming teams.

Outside of Montini, the two that stand out for me are Ottawa and Crystal Lake Central.

Good Picks Keysor Soze, and Titan 442, I had missed Morris. And Morris is a good example of the positive aspects of the new Class AA. Morris finished 6th in it's Regional last year. Providence was first, Minooka was second, Joliet Township a distance third. That's quite a mountain to climb for a school with 1074 students. This year, they're getting some attention on Illinois Matmen. And while I was looking at that regional, another team that that should be mentioned is Pontiac. They finished fifth.

Don't know what either Morris or Pontiac has comming back. Each have solid IKWF programs.

Some tough teams from the south

Troy (Triad) - lost only one starter
Bethalto (Civic Memorial) - good individuals but had holes in their lineup, maybe filled this year
Highland - new coach but they were tough last year and had a deep freshman class

avoiding each other in sectionals...

Let us hope that the state will attempt to keep some of these schools away from one another in their respective regionals and sectionals. The new three class system has (in my opinion) really hurt AA the most, so it would be a shame to see some of the best schools butting heads early on when we would much rather see it at Assembly Hall!

I'm not sure the state takes any of this into consideration, but I'll keep on hoping!
