No there is nobody else to puy there. Matt is giving up 35lbs its not easy.

I would suggest that both David Pearce at 103 from CM and Zane Richards at 119 from Carbondale should at least be consider for honorable mention. They are both freshmen and are going surprise alot of people this year. Zane was an IKWF state champ last year.

im pretty sure zane richards is in 8th grade this year 7th grade last year.. I could be wrong though..

It was Michael Flores that beat Steht, and that was an example of how anyone can win on any given day. I believe this was Flores' only win for the day and Steht's only loss on the day. Steht beat the Libertyville kid 8-4. Libertyville pinned Flores rather handily. I think Steht got caught in a headlock / hiptoss. I can't say for sure because we were shocked to see another Yorkville wrestler strip down to his boxers and take his sweet time getting dressed. When we turned our attention back to Matt's match we found him to be on his back in a tight headlock, seconds away from being pinned, a rare sight indeed. On the other hand, our sophmore 140 lb'er was close to getting teched and then he headlocked /hiptossed a kid from Libertyville for a pin.
