Frustration
We're getting a little frustrated. I think a wrestling camp may be the answer. Anyone know which one I ought to look into?

Serious though. Your kid would be on the mat more than just a week. P.M me and let me know where you are located and I will talk more about to ya... Good luck.. If you decide to look into a camp. Check out Purlers take down camp.. Its pretty good. |

A camp doesnt fix anything unless you continue to work after the camp and through the off season. Camps are nice tools, but if you go there and then never step on a mat again until November, it does you almost no good.
There are opportunities to get on the mat around this area, depending on where you live and what you want to spend. Mahomet has always had open mats. Bloomington does I believe. We have them at Notre Dame. If you are willing to spend money, you can not beat the deal over in Morton at Elite. They have a solid staff and it is a very helpful resource in all styles of wrestling. |

I would also encourage you to stay away from camps when compared with places you can workout (with good coaches). The places mentioned earlier are very good (Elite school of wrestling in Morton, Mahomet, Bloomington, Notre Dame). Additionally, there are very good workout partners and coaches available at Huff Hall on the U of I campus during the Spring and Summer. Also, Gold Wrestling near Mt. Zion has a great facility and some fantastic coaches/people associated with it.
