Here you go....
Returning state champion at that weight class .......................................35 points Returning state champions at any weight class .......................................30 points Undefeated wrestler (minimum of 20 matches) ............................................20 points 37 or more wins..................15 points 32 to 36 wins ......................10 points 27 to 31 wins ........................7 points 22 to 26 wins ........................5 points Returning 2nd or 3rd place winner at that weight class ................................25 points Returning 4th, 5th or 6th place winner at that weight class ............................20 points Returning place winner at any weight class 15 points Returning state qualifier at any weight class 10 points If tied for a place, flip of a coin would determine the seed of the wrestlers for placement of that seed on the bracket, except for the number one (1) seed and if the returning champ at that weight class is tied for the number one (1) seed, the returning champ will be seeded number one (1).

They do not have Pairings as in the past
They are actually deciding where the sectional champs go in the bracket based on the criteria listed. Then the #2 for each sectional, #3 get placed according to the sample bracket.

What happens when the wrestler who would have been the number one seed does not make it to state? Will the sectional champ in that bracket get his points?

152 #1 seed - Murphy with 40 points, 30 for returning champ at another weight 10 for number of wins. #2 seed - Ball with 25 points, 15 for returning 4th place at another weight, 10 for number of wins. #3 seed - Gill with 17 points, 10 for returning state qualifier, 7 for number of wins #4 seed - Birt - 15 for number of wins...did not qualify last year. Does that help? If I have this figured wrong, somebody PLEASE tell me.....

The sectional champs are seeded. NOT who anyone believes should have made it. The sectional champs only, based on the above criteria.
