Ott Bay and his 3 sons all of which are in the Illinois hall of fame should be considered.

Terry McCann
Terry won a gold in the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome for the USA in freestyle wrestling. He also coached the Mayor Daley Youth Foundation Wrestling team that won 11 National titles in Greco and Freestyle wrestling in a 7 year period. He wrestled for the University of Iowa and was an NCAA Champion there in 1955 and 1956. A wrestler never had to pay for his coaching on this team, but rather just show up for practice and wrestle. Practice was held at Navy Pier Gym (before they turned it into wally world) Northwestern's Anderson Hall and Harper College in Palatine. Today we have USA wrestling which was once known as the United States Wrestling Federation. The first championship was in 1969 and this was started up in part by Terry McCann and Myron Roderick. I hope this helps you understand why Terry is one of the great coaches from Illinois.

Thank you for correcting me, I didn't know any of that. After reading it, I completely agree.
