Rankster Predictions

My predictions...as promised.

I'm not going to lie. This was way more difficult that it was last year. I think that speaks to the quality of wrestling in IESA. The parody makes it fun. In fact, part of me hopes I way, wicked wrong because that means the wrestlers are even throughout the brackets.

I did take a few chances and picked a couple of big upsets. If I get every match right, everyone owes me a dollar.

I know he hasn't received much publicity but don't count out Vance from Eureka from placing. He pinned Roney from Mahomet and Reczek from Clinton, had Ludlow beat 4-2 had he not tried some crazy move late in the 3rd. He also has lost to Lee 4-3, and pinned Ricke from Aledo. He is very strong and athletic. I don't think he can beat Myers but can win his first two matches Friday.

Not a good draw for Richardson...Malles and Hartema in the same quad.

185 ponder from highland is good and i think he can place. Like myself in 8th grade I was not ranked the entire season. But when i got there that didn't matter I just wrestled hard and came back with a medal. This Kid has only lost to the 1st ranked guy at 167 and was pinning twice his kid in the sectional finals before he suffered a bloody noise and got reversed onto his back and pinned. And he is only in 7th grade and will always have next year.(like the cubs)

Not to be a uptight turd... but it is "parity" not "parody".
You still do a great job.

Touche, sir...I usually don't miss those things, but after looking at 19 weight classes and trying to sort them out, my brain was a bit fried.

75 lbs. Bracket

The top of 75 is loaded. We have Daniels Matoon (lost to Newkirk in OT) feeding into Wood Sandwich. Winner likely getting Harris in the Quarters. In the other 6 man Quadrant in the top half we have Ireland MS and Setzer PORTA. Those are 5 very good wrestlers stacked up top....only 3 will place. Royal Flush is labeling the Daniels/Wood one of his King-Size first round match-ups!

75

I just noticed that I didn't even include one kid from the top that rankster has medaling. Add Triche to that mess up top at 75! I would agree that Franc will likely be the beneficiary of what appears to be one of the weaker quadrants in any bracket.
